Abstract |
Physical properties of blown film is discussed and explained for a new generation of LLDPE produced in the Borstar technology with bimodal MWD and explained in terms of polymer structure and processing parameters. A comparison with conventional polyethylenes for blown film will be made. Due to its unique polymeric structure, this material combine important properties traditionally specific to either LDPE, LLDPE or HDPE. Emphasis is given to physical properties like tensile, tear, impact and sealability and structural properties like MWD, comonomer distribution, and molecular orientation in the film. |
