                                                | Abstract | The analysis of comonomer distribution in polyolefins is essential in developing new grades. As complementary techniques, there can be mentioned TREF, SIST, SSA and lately CRYSTAF. Still, GPC-FTIR has the advantage to correlate the co-monomer content to a specific molecular weight. The polymer chains are separated by gel permeation chromatography and further sprayed on a rotating disc which can be off-line automatically analysed by FT-IR. The principle, challenges and results will be presented. |
