FUTUREFEED

CO2 as a Future Feedstock for Chemicals, Polymers, and Fuels

Project duration: 2014-2017

Published: 6. september 2022 13:14 - Last changed: 26. mai 2023 12:47

The project will develop catalysts for chemical transformations of CO2 into various chemicals, materials and fuels. In particular, polymers produced in a copolymerisation of CO2 and epoxides may contain up to 43 wt %CO2 and have tunable properties. Such polymers attract significant industrial interest and may find applications in a range of areas including packaging.

Norner contribution

Norner is responsible R&D-partner for developing knowledge in polymers from CO2 regarding catalyst testing and evaluation, process development including in-line analysis, modelling & simulation and scale-up evaluations, in polymer structure-properties evaluation and CO2-based polymer application opportunities.
