International conference on plastics circular economy

Published: 6. september 2022 07:28

The first FuturePack conference took place in Oslo on October 17th, 2018 with almost 100 participants - an international conference on plastics circular economy, technology, business strategies and innovations for increased recycling.

  • FuturePack is a large Norwegian Research program into the circular economy of plastics packaging, working on mechanical and chemical recycling of plastics.
  • All over the Nordic and Europe there are several projects and activities on the plastics circular economy and material recycling.
  • The focus at the FuturePack conference was on how we can achieve a better and increasing degree of plastics recycling - making a circular plastics value chain.
  • Various aspects were presented by leading companies and institutions; SUEZ, FORTUM, TOMRA, LUND University, Plastindustrien in Denmark, Grønt Punkt Norge, ØSTFOLDFORSKNING and NORNER.

We would like to thank all the speakers and participants who contributed to make the FuturePack a valuable meeting place for discussing the challenges and opportunities for sustainable packaging solutions. We look forward to seeing you all to next year’s conference.
